Terri Foley

Terri shares her home in Scottsdale, Arizona with her husband Jon, 6 horses, 4 goats, 4 dogs, 4 cats, 6 chickens, 2 ducks and a python.   She is a Technology Project Manager by training and has always been involved with and surrounded by animals.   Terri grew up on a farm in Wisconsin and about twelve years ago a very special horse came into her life.  This horse, RJ (formally known as Psycho), had emotional and physical issues. After pursuing the traditional solutions with no positive results she turned to non-traditional and alternative therapies.

As a result of this pursuit, Terri became a Teaching Reiki Master and an established craniosacral practitioner for Canines, Equines and Humans.  Her craniosacral training includes Upledger’s Biomechanical, Milne’s’ Visionary and Shea’s, Sills and Boxhall’s Bio Dynamic methods.  She is a Certified Equine and Canine massage therapist and aroma therapist and was one of the first individuals to be trained by Young Living’s director and veterinarian on Raindrop Therapy for Canines and Equines. She has been studying with Marti Spiegleman for five years in extensive shamanic training and initiation in the Andean, Himalayan and West African traditions.  She continues to expand her knowledge through attending seminars and courses in Canine, Equine and Human therapies.  Terri has studied with world-renowned teachers and veterinarians of various holistic and alternative therapy modalities.

Terri offers a number of non-invasive therapies -- many that can be performed at a distance. Therapies offered include craniosacral therapy, shamanic sessions, acupressure, Reiki, essential oils, flower essences, moxibustion, Raindrop Therapy and ear coning.

Gloria Szanto,

Gloria lives on a small farm in the South East US with 4 horses, 2 dogs, one senior Persian cat, and 30 chickens.  She enjoys training dogs with positive, motivational training techniques for Schutzhund, agility, tracking, and obedience.  She also has bred and shown Persian cats nationally.

Having had 2 dogs with cancer, she understands the emotional and financial battles that people face when fighting cancer and chronic disease in a beloved animal companion.  Gloria's dog, Cybil, lived with insulinoma and melanoma.  Because of Cybil, Gloria learned about Holistic Medicine, how to boost the immune system, and natural ways to fight cancer as well as hopefully prevent cancer and diseases. She is an experience oral Neoplasene and black salve user as well.

Gloria has been a Registered Nurse since 1985, working mainly in the Emergency Room and Intensive Care Units.  This background coupled with her holistic medicine experience makes her a caring, determined, and effective caregiver when it comes to fighting cancer and chronic disease in animals.

Michelle Clymer

55

Michelle lives in the Northeast with her husband and two Pomeranians, Charlie and Nick . She has always loved animals and has had dogs her entire life.  Over the years she has been involved in the animal community from volunteering at the local Humane Society to managing a doggie daycare. During her endeavors she has learned a great deal about holistic care. One of her Poms, Charlie , had a severe collapsing trachea and traditional medicine gave her no options so she turned to holistic care for help.   Her journey with Charlie took her down a path where her she learned about various forms of alternative options that her vets had used such as: energy medicine/support, animal communication, homeopathics, homotoxicology, acupuncture, Chinese Medicine, Shamanism and other alternative treatments. Her journey with Charlie prepared her for her fight with prostate cancer and chronic infection with her oldest Pom, Joey   During Joey’s treatment she learned about even more options that are available for dis-eases and health ailments that are available to improve the quality of life.   She is experienced with neoplasene bladder infusions as well as oral Neoplasene dosing.

Michelle's background also includes attending various shamanic workshops including an intensive Shamanic Animal Healing course with Carla Person and a workshop with Peruvian Master Shaman Don Martin Pinedo.  She also has begun studies for Animal Acupressure for Small Animals. In addition to Michelle’s shamanic and healing interest, she and her "family" enjoy learning about and living a more "natural" approach to life, such as environmentally friendly cleaning products, organic foods and personal products, improving your surrounding air quality, gem and crystal uses/power and ways to a more positive approach to life for animals and their companions. This love and commitment to animals, her desire to help others, her life experiences and her broad knowledge of traditional and alternative healthcare make her an important addition to the Options for Animals family.

Deborah Cihonski,
Ph.D., NCSP, CH

55

Deborah has shared her home with dogs, cats, chickens, snakes and many other animals throughout her life. Currently, she lives with a rescued Rottweiler named Clover, a Champion Pointer named Henry Higgins and a variety of permanent and foster cats. As director of a non-profit animal rescue, she has become the guardian of many special needs animals, including several with cancer or chronic illness. She has battled osteosaroma & hemangiosarcoma in dogs, and most recently, vaccine-associated fibrosarcoma (VAS) in her cat, Piper. Deborah has used traditional cancer treatment methods in the past but Piper's cancers could not be effectively treated by surgery, chemotherapy or radiation. After considering the expense and pain for Piper, Deborah turned to holistic/alternative medicine and is an experienced Neoplasene and black salve user - topically, orally and injection. While treating Piper, she founded an online holistic animal health group whose members include people with animals fighting cancer, as well as veterinarians and alternative health professionals. Through this group and Options for Animals, Deborah monitors multiple cancer cases each day and keeps up on the latest research and options -- both traditional and alternative -- for treating cancer and chronic illness.

Deborah is a psychologist who integrates holistic healing into her private practice. She works with people on goal-setting, stress management, grief & coping and helps her clients connect with their animals to facilitate healing. She has a "never give up" attitude and knows that treatments must be tailored to each individual case -- there is no one-size-fits-all cure. Deborah believes that you know your animal best and that you are capable of making the best choices for your animal companion's care if you have enough information. Deborah's love of learning, caring approach, and frequent use of traditional and alternative healing techniques with her rescues and animals at home give her the ability to contribute to animal health and healing through her work with Options for Animals.

Sheryl Kaminski

55

Sheryl shares her central Wisconsin home with a menagerie of animals including dogs, cats, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, ring neck doves, rabbits, canaries, finches, cockatiels, parakeets and hermit crabs.  Sheryl is active in dog obedience and has put over 40 titles on dogs in various venues including obedience, agility, conformation and herding utilizing positive motivational training techniques.  She has bred Australian Shepherds since 1996 and began feeding a raw diet in 1998.  Her natural rearing philosophy of minimal vaccinations, no heartworm or flea and tick medications and the raw diet has produced many healthy Australian Shepherds.  She also employs classical homeopathy, chiropractic, herbs, crystal healing, flower essences, TTouch, and energy work in the care of her animals.  As time went by it became more and more evident that the best way to address health issues was via energy work whether that was homeopathy or Reiki or crystals, etc. because those methods get to the root of the problem and don't simply address the symptoms.

Sheryl’s heart dog, Arrow, was diagnosed with fibrosarcoma in January 2007.  Treatment decisions were difficult to make due to the location near the eye and serious nature of this cancer.  Following surgery, she decided that traditional veterinary treatment was not the best option, Sheryl used a combination of alternative treatments that were somewhat successful in reducing the size of the tumor.  Sadly, Arrow passed in May of 2007.  In honor of Arrow and because no one should have to go through something like this alone, Sheryl studied Reiki and attained the degree of Usui Tibetan Reiki Master Teacher a year later in May of 2008.  Since that time she has been helping all kinds of animals and their people with a variety of health and emotional issues.

Sheryl is experienced in the use of Neoplasene and black salve – topical, oral and injections.  She offers distance Reiki healing and energy work as well as telephone consultations about nutrition and raw feeding.   Her approach is practical while keeping the spiritual and emotional needs paramount.  Healing is always done with the highest good of the client as the goal – both human and animal.
